CONNECTION GROUPS

Whether you’re a new family, or a family caring for an older individual with Down syndrome, we’ve created Connection groups that encourage strong bonds, peer development and family to family support.

Connection groups are based on the age of the individual served or location, and meet once quarterly. [Explore the menu below to learn more about each connection group.]

CULTURAL GROUPS

DSSW hosts the Melanin Mixer and Lazos de Amor, designed to connect our families of color to the larger group, and encourage access and use of resources available. These groups have historically been underserved, or experienced barriers due to language or access.

Reconnecting Spanish-speaking families to the larger group to reduce barriers for accessing resources, encouraging networking, and building social connectivity for healthier families.

Reconnecting African-American families to the larger group to encourage networking, social connectivity and identifying barriers, while providing access to available resources.
