Through the Dream Forward campaign, DSSW’s goal is to raise $1.2M to make the organization independently sustainable and offer more comprehensive services for children, teens and adults with Down syndrome. Each person with Down syndrome is unique in their abilities and in their needs, and this campaign aims to help each of them and their families by securing a place for them to be educated and trained for their unique levels. By doing so, we can improve their futures, create a place in the community for them, train them for a job according to their highest level, and present quality opportunities for their development.
The Dream Forward project will allow the organization to:
- Hire a full-time program coordinator
- Expand support for rural families
- Purchase a new van for community exploration
- Renovate the Learning Kitchen for hands-on skills development
- Boost marketing and awareness
- Upgrade accessible space to strengthen community partnerships and collaboration
